Connect WhatsApp Business to Lemorange

Connect your own Meta WhatsApp Business (Cloud API) account to the Lemorange gateway — 30–60 minutes, plus Meta's review waits.

Collect these 5 values

Names match the Meta credentials form in Client Area → WhatsApp; the step chip says where each comes from.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your company's Meta Business Portfolio (or create one).
  • A phone number that can receive an SMS/call and is not on the WhatsApp app (in-app: Settings → Account → Delete account first).
  • Your Lemorange login for the Client Area.

The 12 steps

  1. 1

    Business Portfolio. Go to business.facebook.com → be an admin (Settings → People), or create a portfolio under your company's real legal name.

  2. 2

    Create a Meta app. developers.facebook.com/apps → Create App → type Business → connect it to your portfolio.

  3. 3

    Add WhatsApp + your number. In the app: WhatsApp → Set up (creates your WABA + a test number). Then API Setup → Add phone number → verify by SMS/call; numbers also list in WhatsApp Manager ↗

    Copy values 1–2. WhatsApp → API Setup → pick your number in "From" → copy the Phone number ID + WABA ID (numeric IDs, not the phone number).

    Create value 3 — permanent token. Business Settings → System users → Add (role Admin) → Add assets: your app + WABA, full control. Generate new token → expiry Never → tick whatsapp_business_messaging + whatsapp_business_management → copy now (shown once — never use the 24-hour API Setup token).

    Copy value 4 — App secret. App dashboard → Settings → Basic → App secret → Show → copy.

    Invent value 5 — verify token. Make up a secret phrase (e.g. my-verify-phrase-2026); type the identical phrase in Steps 8 and 9.

    Enter all five in Lemorange. Client Area → WhatsApp → Activate → fill the Meta credentials form → Save. Copy the Callback URL the page shows.

    Point Meta's webhook at us. WhatsApp → Configuration → Edit webhook → paste Callback URL + verify token → Verify and save. Then Webhook fields → Manage → subscribe to messages.

  10. 10

    Start business verification. Business Settings → Security Centre → Start verification → upload company documents. Start early — unverified caps you at ≈250 conversations/day.

  11. 11

    Create your first template. Client Area → WhatsApp → Message templates → New template (or WhatsApp Manager ↗). Approval usually takes minutes.

  12. 12

    Fund the wallet and test. Top up by card in the Client Area, then send a test via an API key (WhatsApp → API keys) — a delivered message means everything works.

Troubleshooting

  • "Webhook verification failed" → verify token mismatch — Steps 7, 8 and 9 must be identical.
  • Sends fail with error 190 → token wrong or expired — redo Step 5 (permanent System User token).
  • Template rejected → read the rejection reason in the Client Area, reword, resubmit.
  • Number can’t be added → still registered in the WhatsApp app — delete the account in-app first.
